I want the up close view to reveal more than the excitement from across the room that draws you in. I used a few feathers in this as of late the theme of birds and sky is arising spontaneously.

Unexpectedly, the fine white lines from the pen and some with a paintbrush, wanted to be long and continuous rather than contained within a small space. It was exciting, as exciting as being connected with our own source directly and being able to stay self referencing even with all that comes at us throu "live streaming" on the media channels.

The white streak is visible in the main area but then fades. It cannot be seen well yet it still exists, like the Spirit. Something about the process of hiding part of the image struck me as having the secondary meaning of the span of a human life. It is the best kind of title when it describes the process AND something else that is important to me.

24 x 48" acrylic paint and ink. Layers of yellow. There's a subtle effect from putting the tiny lines on top of a similar color. You get a kind of lace. You get a sense, maybe, of how energy under matter is teeming with tiny particles (or waves) and how much silence is packed with creativity.

Drips of Ink start the show, then color blending, then fine lines create fabric-like visual texture. But in truth, it was back and forth many times, putting in the lines, then putting more background, back to the lines, until the balance was right and focus sharp and the mind, well, the mind still but excited.

White pen covering and unifying the color and shapes beneath. Groundedness through the two L-shapes gave rise to the feeling of two dancers. Comes from my 25 years of Indian dance - fluid lines and rhythmic gaps.
